Privacy Policy

In short: Septimana has no servers. Your calendar data travels directly from your calendar provider (Google) to your device and is stored only there. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data — we never even see it.

Who we are

Septimana is a calendar widget app for Android and iOS, developed by JNDevWorks (Finland). Contact: jndevworks@gmail.com.

What data the app handles

Calendar data (event titles, times, locations, calendar names and colors): fetched directly from the Google Calendar API over an encrypted connection, using read-only access (calendar.readonly scope). This data is cached in a local database on your device and in your device's widget storage so your home-screen widgets can display it.
Sign-in tokens: stored in your device's secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). They authorize the app on your device to read your calendar; they are never sent anywhere except to the calendar provider itself.
Settings (theme, week start, language, etc.): stored locally on your device.

What we do NOT do

No servers of our own — your data cannot pass through us.
No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
No accounts with us; we cannot identify you.
No selling, sharing, or transferring of data to anyone.

How we protect your data

Septimana protects your calendar data and sign-in credentials using the following measures:

Encryption in transit. All communication with the Google Calendar API is performed over HTTPS using TLS. Your calendar data is never transmitted over an unencrypted connection.
Encrypted storage at rest. OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored in the operating system's dedicated secure credential store — the Android Keystore (via encrypted storage) on Android and the Keychain on iOS — which is encrypted and, on supported devices, hardware-backed.
On-device only, no server exposure. Because Septimana has no backend, your data is never stored on, processed by, or exposed to any server we operate. There is no central database that could be breached.
Operating-system sandboxing. The local calendar cache and widget data are held in the app's private, OS-enforced sandbox, isolated from other apps on the device.
Data minimization. Septimana requests read-only access (calendar.readonly) and retrieves only the calendar information needed to display your week. It cannot create, modify, or delete your calendar data.
No third-party processors. Your data is not shared with any third-party service, sub-processor, or analytics provider.
User-controlled access. You can revoke Septimana's access to your calendar at any time (see “Data retention and deletion” below), which immediately and permanently ends the app's ability to read your data.

Google API Services

Septimana's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Calendar data obtained through Google APIs is used only to display your calendar in the app and its widgets on your device. It is never used for advertising, never transferred to third parties, and never read by humans.

Data retention and deletion

All data lives on your device. To delete it: sign out in the app, or simply uninstall the app — this removes the local database, widget data, and stored tokens. You can additionally revoke Septimana's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Purchases

The optional Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store any payment information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated effective date.

Lyhyesti: Septimanalla ei ole palvelimia. Kalenteritietosi kulkevat suoraan kalenteripalvelustasi (Google) laitteellesi ja säilyvät vain siellä. Emme kerää, lähetä, myy tai jaa mitään tietojasi — emme koskaan edes näe niitä.

Mitä tietoja sovellus käsittelee

Kalenteritiedot (tapahtumien otsikot, ajat, sijainnit, kalenterien nimet ja värit): haetaan suoraan Google Calendar -rajapinnasta salatulla yhteydellä, vain lukuoikeudella. Tiedot tallennetaan laitteesi paikalliseen tietokantaan ja widget-muistiin, jotta aloitusnäytön widgetit voivat näyttää ne.
Kirjautumistunnisteet: tallennetaan laitteesi suojattuun säilöön (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). Niitä ei lähetetä minnekään muualle kuin kalenteripalvelulle itselleen.
Asetukset (teema, viikon alku, kieli jne.): tallennetaan paikallisesti.

Mitä EMME tee

Ei omia palvelimia — tietosi eivät voi kulkea kauttamme.
Ei analytiikkaa, seurantaa eikä mainos-SDK:ita.
Ei käyttäjätilejä meillä; emme voi tunnistaa sinua.
Tietoja ei myydä, jaeta eikä siirretä kenellekään.

Kuinka suojaamme tietosi

Septimana suojaa kalenteritietosi ja kirjautumistunnisteesi seuraavin keinoin:

Salaus siirron aikana. Kaikki yhteydet Google Calendar -rajapintaan tapahtuvat HTTPS:n yli TLS-salauksella. Kalenteritietojasi ei koskaan siirretä salaamattoman yhteyden yli.
Salattu tallennus levossa. OAuth-käyttö- ja päivitystunnisteet tallennetaan käyttöjärjestelmän erilliseen suojattuun tunnistesäilöön — Androidilla Android Keystore (salatussa säilössä) ja iOS:llä Keychain — joka on salattu ja tuetuilla laitteilla laitteistopohjaisesti suojattu.
Vain laitteella, ei palvelinaltistusta. Koska Septimanalla ei ole taustapalvelinta, tietojasi ei koskaan tallenneta, käsitellä eikä altisteta millekään hallinnoimallemme palvelimelle. Ei ole keskitettyä tietokantaa, joka voitaisiin murtaa.
Käyttöjärjestelmän hiekkalaatikko. Paikallinen kalenterivälimuisti ja widget-tiedot säilytetään sovelluksen yksityisessä, käyttöjärjestelmän eristämässä hiekkalaatikossa, erillään laitteen muista sovelluksista.
Tietojen minimointi. Septimana pyytää vain lukuoikeuden (calendar.readonly) ja hakee ainoastaan viikkonäkymän näyttämiseen tarvittavat kalenteritiedot. Se ei voi luoda, muokata eikä poistaa kalenteritietojasi.
Ei kolmannen osapuolen käsittelijöitä. Tietojasi ei jaeta millekään kolmannen osapuolen palvelulle, alikäsittelijälle tai analytiikkapalvelulle.
Käyttäjän hallitsema pääsy. Voit perua Septimanan pääsyn kalenteriisi milloin tahansa (ks. “Tietojen säilytys ja poisto” alla), mikä päättää välittömästi ja pysyvästi sovelluksen kyvyn lukea tietojasi.

Tietojen säilytys ja poisto

Kaikki tiedot ovat laitteellasi. Poistaaksesi ne: kirjaudu ulos sovelluksessa tai poista sovellus — tämä poistaa paikallisen tietokannan, widget-tiedot ja tunnisteet. Voit lisäksi perua Septimanan käyttöoikeuden osoitteessa myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Valinnainen Pro-päivitys on kertaosto, jonka käsittelee kokonaan App Store tai Google Play. Emme vastaanota emmekä tallenna maksutietoja.
